In addition to showing a variety of photos of Cuban birds, Tom will talk about why islands are special places, often the homes of interesting and unique endemic species.

Tom Hinnebusch is a UCLA retired professor. He lived and worked in Africa with his family in the mid-60s, then spent a year in Kenya, and has returned many times for additional research. He has traveled widely, most recently Cuba, Madagascar, and Namibia.
