    There was a resident population of Cardinals here in L.A. for many decades. Introduced, I believe, in the 1930’s. They were centered on the Whittier Narrows area where I saw them a mere 33 years ago.

    I keep hoping that the Cardinals will make it across the desert from Arizona.  They got that far many years ago.  I still think that they look strange sitting on a giant cactus. G
